Travel and Accommodation - April 2022 East African Regional TVET Conference

Travel and Immigration:
Citizens of East African Community (EAC) are exempt from Visa requirement to enter Tanzania. Guidelines and the full list of countries whose citizens are exempt from Visa to Tanzania can be found on https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/guidelines If Visa is required, you can now apply for an Online Visa to visit the United Republic of Tanzania through https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/start You are required to fill in the online form, make payment, and submit your application online. Your form will be internally reviewed and processed. Applicants will be notified through their e-mails whether their applications have been accepted or rejected. They may also TRACK their application statuses through the online system. Applicants may as well be required to visit the nearest Tanzanian Embassies or Consular Offices for interviews.

Arusha City is accessible by road from many parts of East Africa. Several international airlines also have direct flights to Kilimanjaro International Airport. We strongly recommend early booking as fares often increase appreciably, if booking is done close to the intended date of travel. Please note that ALL visitors are advised to carry along their valid immunization (yellow) card, proof of Covid-19 vaccination, Negative PCR Covid-19 test done less than 72hours prior to departure. No PCR COVID test needed for people with proof of full COVID 19 vaccination. . Accommodation The Local Organising Committee has graciously negotiated bed & breakfast hotel accommodation special rates for delegates to the conference as follows:

• SG Hotel at USD 60;
• Silver Palms Hotel at USD 55;
• Grand Africana Hotel and Ambassador Hotel at USD 30;
• Corridor Springs Hotel at USD 45;

There is a lot of activities taking place in Arusha at the time and delegates are encourage to contact the facility of their choice and upon introducing themselves as participants at the ATUPA East Africa TVET Conference, make the necessary reservations, to avoid last minute disappointment.
